Our Story - Powerfull beyond all Measure (PBAM) is a non-profiting Community Interest Company whose values are inspired by the belief that we all are fearfully and wonderfully made. Our main purpose is to build safe and connected communities that thrive together. PBAM was formed in 2018 by founding member Danielle Azanuwha. PBAM ethos is to work on an intergenerational level working with children and their parents and grandparents to ensure they are supported and connected to the wider community and able to access appropriate support whatever the need such as access to education, health, housing. We want to offer practical and emotional support to those seeking asylum or have been granted refugee status within the UK as well as EU migrants and migrants from across the globe, especially when English is a second language. In addition, we also want to support UK nationals who are also isolated within the community for a range of reasons but predominantly due to physical and mental health an opportunity to also connect with new community members and reduce isolation and loneliness.
We aim to build a village support network for old and new community members who are currently existing on the peripherals. We are passionate about inclusion and will take a pro active approach in creating safe spaces where people can learn from each other, look for shared experiences and celebrate differences. We will play an active role in raising awareness about Hate crime, the impact it has on victims, their families, and the wider community. We also raise awareness on the importance of reporting hate crime from a witness perspective.
